KINDER GARTEN:

We allow the tiny tots to grow in wisdom, observe nature, acquire knowledge, stimulate creativity develop confidence and thereby enable the holistic development.

PRIMARY: (Grade I –V)

The school follows the CBSE – Curriculum from Grade 1 onwards upto secondary level.
“My learning ladder” – Oxford Publication, A new approach to primary learning is well – designed platform that focuses on progressive learning for the core subjects English, Mathematics, Evs/Science, Social Studies and General knowledge. The programme is based on the guidelines provided in the NCF, National curriculam framework of school education. The course is structured in well – defined modules. Each module is a self-contained, holistic that encompasses a constructive approach. The content is well – graded and level specific, thereby ensuring that the learning outcomes are imbibed in a progressive manner by confirming to the guidelines of learning indicators (NCERT).

SECONDARY LEVEL: (Grade VI – X)

We follow CBSE’s (NCERT) curriculum which enchances the students thinking ability, logical reasoning, and pops their creativity, develops the ability to retrieve and connect disparate concepts.
At CGPS, Senior students learn through inquiry, observations, exploration, experimentation and investigating new ideas. Every student is unique and his/her individuality is respected. Curriculum is purely based on

Languages

Languages helps us to communicate with one another, express feelings, desires, helps us to ask questions, increase our willingness and desire to adapt new culture. Languages are powerful mode to conquer the world. At CGPS. We focus on (English) the instructional and communication language, (Tamil) our Regional language and state language and (Hindi) our official language. We also are planning to introduce (French) in the upper primary class.

Life Skills & Value Education

To instill values in children CGPS lays a lot of Emphasis on value education. Moral values which makes any child grow into a better human, indeed plays a major role. It is depicted through our morning assemblies, all celebrations and in everyday classroom activities.
All students at CGPS are well – equipped and we not only train them to face their board exams with confidence also prepare to face any changelles with courage and moral strength.

Assessment

Assessments are vital tools which helps us to evaluate measure and document the learning progress, Skill acquisition, Academic readiness and the developmental needs of the students. At CGPS, students are assessed on a) Scholastic b) Co- Scholastic and c) Overall development.

Grading would be done for the co-scholastic area in both terms The Students are also assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectful for rules & regulations, attitude towards society and nation. Grading would be done term wise

Overall Development

Student Assessment Report is a record of continuous observations done by the parent and teachers. Parents should play a vital role in observing their kids strengths and weakness in the following areas and report to the class teacher during the parent teacher meeting which would help the child to have an all-round development
